Simple Sambal Garlic Pasta
We love pasta aglio e olio. It’s simple, no fuss, and comes together in less than 10 minutes with just 5 ingredients. But recently, we’ve found a gamechanger ingredient, a single spoonful of which can elevate the classic aglio e olio, adds so much depth of flavor and slurpability to each spaghetti strand that we almost don’t make it any other way now. That secret ingredient is Homiah’s Sambal Chili Crunch!
Simple Sambal Garlic Pasta
SERVES TIME
3-4 15 mins
INGREDIENTS
- 12 oz. (340g) dry spaghetti, or any other type of long pasta
- ⅓ cup (80ml) olive oil
- 8 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp Homiah Sambal Chili Crunch (either vegan or shrimp works)
- ¼ cup finely chopped parsley leaves
- ½ cup grated parmesan, optional
METHOD
- Cook the spaghetti in a pot of salted boiling water, according to its packet instructions. (Most dry pastas call for 8-10 minutes of boiling time.)
- While the spaghetti is cooking, in a frying pan, add the olive oil and garlic, and saute for 2-3 minutes over medium heat until fragrant. Then, add in the Homiah Sambal Chili Crunch, and saute for an additional minute. Finally, add in the cooked pasta and ¼ cup of pasta water. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated.
- Take the pan off the heat, and add in the chopped parsley and grated parmesan. Give it a final toss, then serve and enjoy!
