Perfect Sambal Instant Noodles

Here’s our quickest meal yet. Egg, butter, cheese, and sambal come together in a smashing bowl of instant noodles, with plenty of potential to be your next big guilty pleasure!

Perfect Sambal Instant Noodles

SERVES TIME
1 5 minutes

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pack instant ramen noodles
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp unsalted butter
  • 2 slices American cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp Homiah Sambal Chili Crunch

METHOD

  1. Pour 2 1/2 cups of water in a small pot or saucepan and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add in the instant noodles and cook according to its packet instructions. (It’s usually around the 2-minute mark.) Add in the flavor pack that comes with the noodles, and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  2. Remove the pan from the heat, and gently crack the egg into the pot. Then, without stirring the soup, pull the noodles over the egg and let it poach for 2 minutes. 
  3. Gently transfer everything into a bowl. Add the butter and cheese on top and let sit for 1 minute, letting the butter and cheese melt slightly. Sprinkle the Homiah Sambal Chili Crunch on top, and slurp it all down!
